Eraydin Textiles was founded in 1982 based in Istanbul/Turkey as an agent to promote and sell Turkish cotton yarn to Western European countries on a commission basis.
In early 1980’s to be able to interact closely with the technical people in spinning mills besides the owners and the sales executives, Eraydin Textile began representing two small spare parts manufacturers. These were STL from Germany producing leather bottom aprons and Max Flukiger from Switzerland producing spindle tapes.
Although spare parts business was mostly secondary to the cotton yarn business throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, the business landscape has changed considerably in the last decade. First in 1999, two American companies, ring and traveler manufacturer A.B. Carter and anti-metal and anti-fire diverter manufacturer Argus Fire Control, gave the agency business to Eraydin Textiles. This was followed in 2004 by the Indian rubber apron and cots manufacturer Supertex.
The arrival of Supertex and the start of cooperation in 2005 with one of the most active Indian used textile machinery dealers, Sreyam Trading, was the beginning of the second stage of expansion. In partnership with Sreyam Trading, Eraydin Textile not only sold sizable number of machines from Turkey to India, but also developed relationships with several Indian mill owners and managers who helped Eraydin Textile to find good and reliable sources in India for spinning accessories and spares.
As the spare parts and accessories business gained considerable momentum starting in 2009/2010 period and as the range of the items imported from India and China increased fast, Eraydin Textiles became a partner with a local trader, Baltaci Textile for the local stocking and distribution of these parts in Turkey.
In the last few years, the company continued its expansion by becoming the agent of several textile machinery manufacturers as well.
While the cotton yarn sales still continues, Eraydin Textile has managed to become one of the most active agents serving the Turkish spinning industry and increased its portfolio of manufacturers exclusively represented in the Turkish market.
